Elizabeth "Betty" (Houston) Spillman

Elizabeth "Betty" Spillman, 86 of South Bend passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born on January 1, 1933 in South Bend to the late Earl and Elizabeth (Gantert) Houston.

On June 19, 1954 in South Bend she married Jack W. Spillman who survives. Betty is also survived by two daughters, Marise "Cissy" (Danny) Gann and Kim (John) Biskupski, both of South Bend; two sons, Jack W. (Deborah) Spillman of South Bend and Michael W. (Donna) Spillman of Osceola; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Jack (Hazel) Houston of New Carlisle.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Gann on September 16, 2018 and two brothers, Joe and Fritz Houston.

Betty enjoyed painting, collecting antiques and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a former member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church. Betty will be dearly missed by her loving family, church family and numerous friends she made during her life's journey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 5th at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Road, South Bend with Fr. John Delaney officiating. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service in the church.
