Mar 11, 1934 - Mar 30, 2025

Charlotte Ann Wolz, 91 years old, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Hospice House, Mishawaka, IN. Mrs. Wolz was born on March 11, 1934 in South Bend to the late Eugene H. and Irene A. (Felty) Kronewitter. She has remained a lifelong resident. On May 1, 1954, in South Bend, Charlotte and Sigmund E. Wolz were united in marriage. They shared over 59 years together before his passing in December 2013.

Mrs. Wolz is survived by her five daughters, Ann Miller of Mishawaka, Karen (Craig) Moran of Statesville, NC, Diane (Terry) Clarke of Orlando, FL, Monica (Ron) Hecklinski of South Bend, and Susan (Mark) Catanzarite of South Bend; daughters-in-law, Sue Wolz of Bryson City, NC and Yvonne Wolz of Lebanon, TN; eighteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Mrs. Wolz is also survived by her sister, Mary (Dale) Stastny of Bettendorf, IA. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Brian, Karl and Jon Wolz; grandson, Jon Wolz; and two brothers, Father Frank Kronewitter and Ralph Kronewitter.

Mom took immense pride in her family, cherishing every opportunity to celebrate them. They were her greatest joy. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter, especially when it came to games, where her competitive spirit truly shined. She and Sig shared countless late-night card games with their best friends, Arlene and Ray. Always ready with a smile and a helping hand, Mom was especially devoted to her grandchildren.

For over 25 years, she was an avid bowler at the Elks Lodge. She enjoyed tuning into a variety of sports, with a particular love for watching golf. Gardening brought her peace and fulfillment—she loved being outdoors, with her hands in the earth whenever she could.

Mom also treasured her time spent with her “club” friends of over 50 years from her days at John Adams High School, where she graduated in 1952.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1050 Wilber Street, South Bend. Entombment will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
