Janice Ellen Kennedy

Janice Ellen Kennedy, 70, of Sterling Heights, Mich., passed away at 9:38 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Clintonaire Health Care Center, Clinton Township, Mich.

Mrs. Kennedy had previously worked at the Bendix Corporation and Wyman's Department Store, South Bend, Ind. She was born on July 7, 1933, in South Bend, to the late Harold V. and Gladys E. (Sloan) Tully, and had lived in South Bend until moving to Sterling Heights in 1963. On July 19, 1952, in South Bend, she married Max Eugene Kennedy, who preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2002.

Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her son, Patrick J. Kennedy of Rochester Hills, Mich.; and by two sisters, Norma Beaty and Glenda Harrison, both of South Bend.

Mrs. Kennedy was a former member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, South Bend. She was a member of the John Adams High School graduating class of 1952.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Don Francis will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Contributions in memory of Mrs. Kennedy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
