MISHAWAKA - Services for John E. "Jackie" Roberts, 58, of West Grove St, who died at 10:02 p.m. Wednesday in Las Vegas, Nev, after an illness, will be at 10 am. Monday in St Monica's Catholic Church.
Burial will be at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call from 7 to 0 pm. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake will be at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
Mr. Roberts was employed by Indiana Michigan Power Co. for 38 years. He was born March 20, 1932, in Honolulu, and lived in the Michiana area Since 1949.
On Sept 1, 1951, in Mishawaka, he married Francelia McLane, who survives.
Also surviving are four daughters, Anne Marie Roberts of Mishawaka, Celia Dillon of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Peggy J. Boyd of Lakeville, and Lisa C. Roberts at home; four sons, John E. of South Bend, Larry J. of Osceola, and Thomas P. and Gary L., both of Mishawaka; five grandchildren; a sister, Marcelyn Michiels of Mishawaka; and his parents, Agnes Kolecki of South Bend and Jack Roberts of Honolulu.
He was a member of the church, Di Loreto Club, De Amids Club, and a graduate of Adams High School.
