Andrew William Smithberger

Jul. 10, 1932 - Jan. 23, 2015

Age 82, of Elgin, returned to his heavenly home on January 23, 2015 after a long and loving life. His strong devotion to faith and family supported him throughout and peacefully carried him into the arms of the Lord.

Andrew was born on July 10, 1932 the son of Andrew and Mary (Myers) Smithberger. Andrew graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, IN and Purdue University College of Agriculture. He was a member of the Purdue Marching Band, and the Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity.

He was a Veteran and served in the US Army. Andrew had worked at Associated Milk Producers for 30 years and retired from Amex Plating. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and 56 year member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Beth Pulte and Susan Smithberger.
