SOUTH BEND - Bonnie L. Stanton, 77, passed away at 11:40 PM Wednesday, June 17. 2009 at the home of her granddaughter, Sara Gray. Bonnie was born April 11, 1932 in South Bend, IN to James and Beulah (Gundrum) Zeider and remained a lifelong resident.

In 1951 as Bonnie Zeider she married Ned Stanton and they were married for fifty-seven years. Ned preceded her in death on November 9, 2008. Mrs. Stanton is survived by two daughters, Diana Ruscio of South Bend and Sharon (Mike) Kline both of Mishawaka; her daughter-in-law, Toan Dodd of Niles; eight grandchildren, Sara Gray, Barry (Kristy) Gray, Brian (Carrie) Gray, Jimmy Kline, Kyle Kline, Betty (Phuc) Thach, Ian Dodd and Shelly (Eric) Chaffee; and eight great-grandchildren, Kason Kline, Tyler Hardy, Nyla Hardy, Katie Gray, Jenna Gray, Aubrey Gray, Brianna Thach and Hannah Thach.

Also surviving are two sisters, Emma (Gene) Stroes of Mishawaka and Patsy Lee of Scottsdale, AZ; and a brother, Keith (Mary) Zeider of South Bend. Bonnie was an active member of Deer Run Church of Christ, South Bend. Her hobbies included painting.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM today, June 20, 2009 at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. Pastor David Honeycutt, pastor of Deer Run Church of Christ will officiate.

Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services at the funeral home today.
