L. Riley Brehmer, 54, of 1723 N. Brookfield, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on July 14, 1925, in South Bend, and lived here all his life.

His wife, the former Martha Hellman, survives, along with a son, Michael, of Alexandria, Va.; his mother, Mrs, L.J. Brehmer of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. James Murphy of Rochester, N.Y.
