William Charles Koehler

William "Bill" Charles Koehler, 79, of North Francis Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 4:05 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, in the Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, South Bend.

Bill was born on Feb. 15, 1925, in South Bend, to the late Harry and Othelia (Gaul) Koehler.

Bill is survived by one brother and his wife, Harry and Betty Koehler of South Bend; and one niece, Beth Hobbs of Saratoga, Calif.

Bill was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from John Adams High School and South Bend Business College. He was an accountant for Fruit Bell Electric, Cassopolis, Mich., where he retired. Bill spent his summers at the Twin Lakes in Dowagiac, Mich. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and a past member of board of directors of the Twin Lakes Improvement Association.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, in Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne Street, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services. Rev. David Sickelka will officiate. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, is handling arrangements.

In memory of William Koehler, donations may be made to Zion United Church of Christ.
