Robert L. Carr 80, Indianapolis, died May 27, 2007. He was a mathematician and teacher of mathematics and a member of MAA, NCTM and ICTM. He presented many topics at meetings around the country. He was a lecturer in mathematics at Purdue and a teacher of computer science at Notre Dame and Purdue. He taught for 37 years at IPS. Mr. Carr served in WWII in the 188th Parachute Infantry of the 11th Airborne Division.

He was a world traveler.He volunteered at OASIS for 10 years and 19 years at the Indiana State Museum, where he was also a member of the Speakers Bureau. He gave many presentations concerning mathematical and scientific topics and travelogues. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his beloved family, wife of 52 years, Rosemary (Skaggs); sons, Jim, Jay and Gary (Nancy); grandsons, Garrison and Griffin; brother, Howard (Gloria) of Granger, IN and other relatives and friends.

Services were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East Funeral Center of Indianapolis, Indiana.
