Eugene Owen Van Vynckt

Jan. 19, 1927 – Jun. 15, 1981

Eugene Van Vynckt, 54, of 422 N. Indiana Ave., Bremen, died Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after being ill three months.

He was born on Jan. 19, 1927, in Mishawaka and resided in Bremen since 1973, moving there from Edwardsburg.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Susan Baker of Leesburg, Fla., Mrs. Diana Turner of Mishawaka, Miss Teresa Van Vynckt of Caro, Mich. and Lisa, at home; three sons, Eugene Jr., of Plymouth, Philip of Vero Beach, Fla., and Jeffery, at home; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Margaret Stuff of Marcellus, Mrs. Irene Marazita of Niles, and Mrs. Mary Gaza, Mrs. Joan Jurek and Miss Elinor Van Vynckt, all of South Bend, and four brothers, John of Hammond, Charles of South Bend, Robert of Mishawaka and Edward of Central Valley, Calif.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Rev. Edward Ruetz of St. Joseph Hospital will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Among the survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Van Vynckt of North Fort Myers, Fla.
