Phyllis J. (Harter) Sullivan

Phyllis J. Sullivan, age 97, of Granger, IN passed away Tuesday morning at Providence Home by Fir.  Phyllis worked as a secretary for the Penn – Harris – Madison School Corporation, retiring in 1992 after 24 years at Schmucker Middle School. 

Phyllis was born on March 2, 1927 in South Bend to the late Raymond and Pearl (Leininger) Harter and has lived in this area all of her life. On June 11, 1950 in South Bend, she married Robert W. Sullivan, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2013. 

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia A. (James) Waterman of Sharpsville, IN, Donna C. (Walt) Snyder of Osceola, IN, Janet M. (John) Eubank of Mishawaka, IN, nine grandchildren, Trevor (Jessica) Eubank of Elkhart, Doug Eubank of Mishawaka, Ben (Alison) Waterman of Kokomo, Beth Waterman of Boston, MA, Chris Sullivan of Minersville, PA, Andria Turner of Denver, CO, Chad (Marcie) Sullivan of Denver, CO, Janice (Steve) Tadevich of Osceola, and Terry Snyder of Mishawaka; ten great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. 

A son, William R. Sullivan, preceded in death. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN  46615.  Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 14, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday.  Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
