Carl Edward Goffeney

SOUTH BEND – Carl E. Goffeney, 64, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, formerly of South Bend and Mishawaka, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday in Elkhart General Hospital after an illness.
Mr. Goffeney retired in January from Calpro Fence Co. He was born July 12, 1928, in South Bend. He is survived by two daughters, Carol Calloway of Wakarusa and Julie Niedbalski of Bremen; a son, Jeffrey of Dallas; three grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Eager of Mishawaka, Marjorie Vest of Santa Ana, Calif. and Joan Voorhies of South Bend; and a brother, Herbert of South Bend.
He was a former member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church operating account.
