He married his wife, Carol Glasser, on October 1, 1950, and the couple was married over 61 years at the time of his death. Over the next 30 years as President of Interstate Glass, Pat built the company into the largest glass wholesaler and contractor in Northern Indiana, with branch locations in a number of communities in Northern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan. Interstate Glass Company was the glass supplier and contractor for numerous notable buildings in the South Bend area, including Century Center, the Chase Bank Building, the Doubletree Hotel, and the Notre Dame Memorial Library. Interstate Glass was sold to Apogee Enterprises of Minneapolis in 1980. Pat was a prominent member of the business community in South Bend who never hesitated to provide guidance to other local businesses. As an active member of Temple Beth-el, he served as the Temple's president in 1964-1966.

Throughout his life, Pat and his wife Carol were active and generous supporters of charitable organizations, engaging in extensive philanthropic endeavors. After moving to Rancho Mirage, California, they founded the Phillip & Carol Traub Parkinson's & Movement Disorders Center at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, CA in 1995. The center has provided care-giver support, classes and resources to thousands of Parkinsons patients their families. Pat's life was a blessing to his family and to his wide circle of friends. Memorial services for Pat were held in Rancho Mirage, California.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory will be gratefully accepted at the Phillip & Carol Traub Parkinson's & Movement Disorders Center Eisenhower Medical Center, 72780 Country Club Drive, Bldg. B, Suite 202 Rancho Mirage, CA 92270
