Jack D. Fisher, 82, of Carriage Court of Hilliard, in Hilliard, formerly of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at 9:05 p.m., surrounded by family.

He was born May 29, 1930, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Wilford "Skinny" and Mary "Babs" (Milner) Fisher. For 57 years, he was the loving husband of Betty Lou (Heinhuis) Fisher, who survives.

Jack is also survived by his twin daughters, Claudia (Rick) Langhorst, of Sidney, and Sandie Raynes, of Plain City. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Devon and Ethan Langhorst, of Sidney, Brittney (Joey) Sharp, of Dublin, and Drew Larger, of Plain City. One sister also survives, Maryann (Sonny) Emmons, of La Paz, Ind.

Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army from May 1951 to May 1953, where he spent time in Germany. He retired from Stolle Precision Tool Co. as vice president in 1995.

Having been born and raised in South Bend, Ind., he was a devoted, lifelong fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The family will receive friends at the Sidney Moose Lodge (upstairs) on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, from 3 to 5:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service officiated by the Rev. Phil Chilcote. At the conclusion, a champagne toast will be made in celebration of Jack's life.

A memorial service will also be held in honor of Jack's life at Carriage Court of Hilliard on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. The address for Carriage Court of Hilliard is 3570 Heritage Club Drive, Hilliard, OH 43206.
