Joy A. Duddleson, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2015 in Southfield Village, South Bend.

Joy was born on June 6, 1929 in South Bend to Leroy W. and Maude (Deck) Hodge. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret McGaffey and Laura Tidwell and brothers, Russ and Wayne Hodge.

On August 1, 1948 in South Bend, as the former Joy Hodge, she married Irvin F. Duddleson. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2011 after almost 63 years of marriage.

Surviving are three children, Gary (Missy) Duddleson of South Bend, Linda (Gary) Sieber of Granger and Glenn (Tammy) Duddleson of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Amanda) and Cole (Kasey) Duddleson, Joseph and Miranda Sieber, Alexis, Brooke and Jack Duddleson and three great grandchildren, Amelia, Lucas and Olivia Duddleson.

Joy was an active member of River Park United Methodist Church, as a lay minister, choir member, financial board member and the food pantry.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 21 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 22 in the funeral home, with Pastor Shar Kobb of River Park United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to River Park United Methodist Church, 920 S. 23rd Street, South Bend, IN 46615 or Hospice Foundation Supporting Center for Hospice Care: South Bend-Elkhart-Plymouth, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

We wish to thank the staff of Southfield Village. Everyone at Southfield made us feel like family and we felt the same about them. A big Thanks also goes out to the staff at Center for Hospice.
