SOUTH BEND - Gordon Speth , 66, of Johnson Road, died about 12:16 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Speth retired from Johnson Controls in 1990 as plumber and steamfitter after 28 years of service. He was born April 11, 1928, in Joliet, Ill.
On March 6, 1950, in Henrietta, Texas, he married Rebecca Jane Turner. She survives with a daughter, Pamela Herndon of South Bend; a son, Michael of South Bend; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlotte Losicki of Mishawaka and Louise Jones of Coral Gables, Fla. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
