SOUTH BEND - Cynthia DeSmith, 42, passed away after a six month battle with cancer, on April 17, 2018 in her home. She is survived by her husband, James DeSmith; sons, Austin Youngman, Jordan Youngman, and Skyler DeSmith; stepson, Nathan DeSmith; and her mother, Deborah Wedmore.

Cynthia was a parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Cathedral. She graduated from Adams High School in South Bend and went on to get her BA in Social Work. Cynthia was very family oriented and enjoyed cooking.
