SOUTH BEND - Michael Henry Poettgen, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Born January 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Bozak) Poettgen.
Michael is survived by three sisters, Susan Sherwood of Granger IN, Kathy Poettgen of Honolulu, HI, and Peggy Griffith of California; one brother, David Poettgen of California; and a nephew, Michael Hayes.
Michael had been an employee of Neff Engineering in South Bend where he worked in Sales and Account Management for 30 years. Cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions should be directed, in Michael's name, to Pet Refuge.
