Jaylin Micou
November 28, 1997 ~ August 23, 2025
Jaylin Micou, a beloved son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, entered this world on November 28, 1997, in South Bend, Indiana, and departed this life on August 23, 2025, at the young age of 27. Though his earthly journey was brief, his life was full of love, creativity, family, and purpose.
Jaylin was educated in the South Bend Community School Corporation and proudly graduated from John Adams High School. Jaylin attended Ivy Tech Community College, where he was pursuing a certification in welding. At the time of his passing, Jaylin was a dedicated, reliable, and valued staff member of Primitiv Elevated Wellness. He loved his Primitiv family. Jaylin was also a gifted photographer and videographer, using his creative eye to capture beauty, music, and joy. His work took him on travels across the country, including to California, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Chicago, and brought light to the lives of those around him.
Above all, Jaylin’s greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a devoted father to his beloved daughter, Riley. He treasured every moment with her, including creating special memories like their recent Caribbean family cruise to the Dominican Republic, Grand Turks, and the Bahamas. Jaylin was a true family man. He never missed a gathering, always arriving with his beautiful smile and a warm hug. His presence was felt, his love was steady, and his spirit unforgettable.
Jaylin loved God. He accepted Christ at an early age and lived his faith through the way he loved his family. His devotion as a father, son, and brother reflected the teachings he carried in his heart. His legacy will live on through Riley and the countless lives he touched.
Jaylin leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Kendra Jones and Jason Micou; his devoted sister, Jayda Micou; and his beloved daughter, Riley Micou. He is also survived by his paternal siblings, A’ariona Micou, Daqua Micou, Jayceon Micou, Christian Micou, Cayson Micou, Juelz Micou, and Jae’Lynn Micou; his grandparents, Barnabia Jones Jr, Mary and John McBride, Bernita (Bitsy) Johnson, and Londale Micou, and maternal great-grandmother Lorene Taylor.
