SOUTH BEND – Memorial services for Donald W. “Bill” Doetsch, 38, of San Diego, formerly of South Bend, who died Friday at Bierler House, San Diego, after an illness, will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Lewis Colonial Mortuary, San Diego.
Cremation has taken place with burial at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
Mr. Doetsch was employed by Great American Bank, San Diego, and was a former employee of Northern American Sign, South Bend, and D’Appolonia Corp., Chesterton.
He was born Oct. 24, 1951, in South Bend, where he lived until 1972. He is survived by three sisters, Joan DeWalt of Darby, Mont., Julie Doetsch of Lake Forest, IL, and Jane Doetsch of South Bend; a brother, Gary of Monmouth, IL.; his parents, Barbara and Donald Doetsch of South Bend; and a grandmother, Joan Wuthrich of Bradenton, Fla.
He was a graduate of Adams High School, a veteran of the Navy and former member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.
