Angela Lee (Jermano) Taylor

Angela Lee (Jermano) Taylor, 71, of Elkhart IN., passed away unexpectedly at 8:21 a.m. in her residence. 

Angela was born on October 5, 1954 in Mishawaka, IN., to Frank and Dorothy (Haliburton) Jermano.

Angela graduated from South Bend John Adams High School in 1972.

On September 13, 1975 in South Bend, IN, Angela married Robert Taylor. Robert survives along with their daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Carnahan of South Bend, their son, Robert (Kaley) Taylor of Waxshaw, NC., eight grandchildren; Brianna Reich, Leah Reich, Avalon Taylor, Harper Taylor, Quinna Taylor, Tatum Taylor, Tim Carnahan and Tyler Carnahan.  Angela was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Pam Hoffman and Jodie Geldner.

Angie was Bob’s beloved wife for 50 amazing years, loving mother, devoted grandma, holding her family as her most prized possession. She was a genuine friend to many. Wherever she would go, she always saw a familiar face. Angie was a dedicated school teacher at Emmons Elementary School for many years, and maintained active relationships with teachers and many students and their families far beyond their school years.

Angie loved traveling, always planning the next bus trip, and could often be found in the garden tending to her beautiful flowers and vegetables. She loved cheering for and attending the Notre Dame women’s basketball games. Angie was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and the DiLoreto Club in Mishawaka, which held a special place her heart because her dad was a member and her grandfather was a founding member.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 5:00pm-7:00pm and Friday June 26, 2026 from 11:00am-2:00pm. Funeral proceedings will take place on Friday June 26, 2026 at 2:00pm at the Palmer Funeral Home-Bubb Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka.

Pastor Adam Clark will officiate the services with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
