SOUTH BEND - Lorenzo William "Ren" Greer, 17, of South Bend, Indiana passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 as a result of a drowning accident in Lake Michigan. Ren was born on November 21, 1992 in South Bend, IN. Ren was currently attending John Adams High School. Ren is survived by his mother and stepfather, Candelaria (Hernandez) and Delonnie Patterson of South Bend; his father and stepmother, John W. and Cathy Greer of Elkhart; four sisters, Celina Patterson, DeLonnia Patterson, Helicia Greer and Alyshia Greer; one brother, DeVon Patterson all of South Bend; maternal grandparents, Maria A. & Lazaro Hernandez; and paternal grandparents, John and Gloria Greer, Sr., all of South Bend. Three uncles also survive, Lazaro (Angela) Hernandez and Roy Anthony (Emily) Greer both of South Bend and Michael Leon Greer of Michigan. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. Rev. Horace Greer will officiate.
