BETTY JEAN BROADNAX

SOUTH BEND - Betty Jean Broadnax was born October 24, 1949 in South Bend, Indiana to George & Jessie Lee Broadnax.

She passed away at home on Tuesday, March 1 at the age of 66.

Betty was a lifelong South Bend resident. She attended South Bend Community Schools and was a graduate of Adams High School. Betty was employed with Notre Dame University from 1973 until her retirement in 2008.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory a son, Christopher (Alexis) Broadnax Sr.; mother, Jessie L Broadnax, and sisters, Carol Washington, Ora Gordon and Jessica Broadnax. Ten grandchildren, Armondo Perez, Christopher Jr., Enricque, Tahleb, Zavieon, Christian, Christyna & Chrisi Broadnax, Devin Crawford and Kavon Jett also survive her along with a host of other family and friends.

Her father, George Broadnax, daughter, Kecia Broadnax & sister, Mary Jo Broadnax preceded her in death.

Viewing will be held at Cobb Funeral Home, 3525 S. Michigan St. on Thursday, March 10 at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral services immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
