Walter L Brock Jr - Class Of 1967 VIEW PROFILE

WALTER BROCK

Walter "Butch" L. Brock Jr., 57, of Mishawaka, IN passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, January 10th after bravely battling cancer for three months.

Walter was born in Marianna, FL May 23, 1949 to Mary Ann Kowalski and Walter L Brock. Walter moved to South Bend in 1957 when his mother passed away. He attended Adams High School and enlisted in the Army at the age of 18.

Walter proudly served his country for two years and remained enlisted in the Army Reserves for 15 years. At the time of his passing he was a disabled Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 360.

Walter married Nancy Copp on Valentines Day, February 14, 1992. He retired after 30 years with AM General and enjoyed his retirement loving his wife, his family and his closest companions, Mitzy and Buddy, his two Chinese Pekinese dogs.

Walter is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Kowalski; his father, Walter L Brock, his sister, Betty Ann Daniels, and his daughter, Brenda Lee Brock.
Walter is survived by his wife, Nancy Brock; his son, Walter L Brock III (Peggy); his daughters, Cindy Brock, Melissa Bradley (Jeff); two brothers, Rayburn L. Brock of Aulander, NC and Johnny F Brock of Ahoskie, NC (Mary Ellen), he had five grandchildren, Shawna, Nickolas and Kyle Lee Brock and Morgan and Abigail Bradley.

Walter had a strong faith and as much as he will be missed we rejoice that his suffering is over and we will see him again someday in Glory!!!

The family will accept friends from 2-4 p.m. 6-8 p.m. on Friday, January 12th at Bubbs Funeral Chapel.
The service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2007 also at Bubbs.
