DWIGHT E. HASKINS

SOUTH BEND - Dwight Erickson Haskins Sr., 56, of South Bend, Indiana, departed this life on Tuesday morning, September 17, 2013. He was born on July 21, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana, to Shirley (Haskins) Moore and James Evans. Dwight attended Adams High School where he played tennis and football.

Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Army in 1977.

He was employed by Saint Joseph's Hospital. He worked construction throughout the United States. Later, Dwight became self-employed.

On September 17, 1999, Dwight married Remona Plummer, who survives. Survivors also include their children: Tamika (Dion) Lax, Shavar Haskins, Monnese Haskins, Courtney Haskins, Dwight E. Haskins Jr., Dominick Haskins, Deontae Haskins, Dylin Haskins, Dustyn Haskins, Yahniqua Haskins and Kenesha Haskins. Sibling survivors are: Terri Haskins, Tanya Delk, Anthony (Sheila) Greene, Myron Haskins and Timothy Moore. Grandchildren are: Decarlos, Demya, Rodney, Dayla, Bishop, Roman, Leshawn; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dwight was preceded in death by his son, James Thorpe Haskins.
