TRACY E. HERRON

SOUTH BEND - Ms. Tracy Elizabeth Herron, 34, who resided on Northwood Drive, South Bend, Indiana, departed from this life at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Tracy's life began in South Bend on September 5, 1979, when she was born to James and Patricia (Hawkins) Herron.

Tracy was educated in the South Bend public schools and graduated from John Adams High School in 1997. She continued her education at Ivy Tech majoring in phlebotomy, Vogue Beauty School studying Cosmetology and Holy Cross School majoring in General Studies. She was employed by Biomat as a phlebotomist. Among the things she loved were music, hair styling, bowling, drawing and poetry. She was an original member of the J. E. Herron Memorial Ensemble. She was a member of Mt. Zion Cathedral of Praise COGIC and also a member of Revelation COGIC.

Tracy is survived by one daughter, Olivia Herron; her mother, Patricia Herron, both of South Bend; sisters, Lois Thomas of Phoenix, Arizona, Sandra (David) Harper, Joyce Herron, Regina (Archie) Morrell, Tasha (Marcus) Carroll, LaShayla Herron, Nicole Herron, Paris Herron-Lewis and Kennitha Herron-Lewis, all of South Bend, Indiana; brothers, Charles Thomas of Champaign, Illinois, DeWayne Herron, James E. (Lisa) Herron Jr., Elder Steve Herron and Michael Herron, Joseph Herron, Raymond Herron, Shannon Herron, Goin Herron-Robinson, all of South Bend, Indiana, and Carlos Herron-Robinson of Phoenix, Arizona; along with other relatives and friends.

Tracy was preceded in death by her father, Superintendent James Herron; maternal grandparents, Jake and Ruby Hawkins; paternal grandparents, Vester and Elizabeth Herron.

Funeral services for Tracy Elizabeth Herron will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Greater Holy Temple COGIC. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
