Dennis Morris Marbley Sr (Marvelous Marbley) beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother went home to be with the Lord April 16 2018. Dennis was born September 24th 1957 in South Bend IN to Dessie Marbley who preceded him in death. Dennis was a long time resident of South Bends South East Side where he graduated from Adams High School where he became a State Champion as a wrestler. He then attended Ivy Tech Community College where he obtained a degree in welding and worked as a welder for over 30 years. Dennis was then introduced to the love of his life Vanessa (Ms.V) through his cousin Evelyn Garner where they went on to marry July 14 1984. 

Dennis loved music and was often asked to DJ parties and threw many bomb parties of his own. Dennis also liked to bowl and was in bowling leagues where he won many tournaments. He enjoyed fishing and working in the yard. If you knew Dennis you always heard “Don’t you step on my grass!”. We also can’t forget to mention how he loved to BBQ and was a great cook. 

Family left to cherish his memory include his wife Vanessa Marbley of South Bend IN, two sons Dennis Marbley Jr of South Bend IN, Charles Frison of Fort Wayne IN, four daughters Nikki Marbley of South Bend IN, Ashley Marbley of South Bend IN, Erica(Jarrell)Page of South Bend IN, and Cheryl(Clayton)Brown of South Bend IN, three brothers Larry Marbley of South Bend IN, Mark(Jackie)Marbley of Indianapolis IN, and Todd Marbley of South Bend IN, 8 sisters Dorothy(Gavin)Causey of South Bend IN, Doris(Dilbert)Lewis of South Bend IN, Daisy(Melvin)Smith of South Bend IN, Marsha(Thomas)Long of Indianapolis IN, Sherry Marbley of South Bend IN, Debbie Marbley of Texas and Pandora(Jerry)Simmons of South Bend, fourteen grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, special family and friends Antonio(ToneLoc)Martinez, Crystal(Umpa Lumpa)Seward, Deontoni(Lil Dee)Brown and special cousin Robert Shorter.

He was preceded in death by his brother Greg Marbley, two nieces Natalie Moton and Dessie Lewis(Val) and special cousin Lorenzo(BoBo)Shorter. He was also preceded in death by his special friend Gary Sanders.
