SHARON (EMERY) MILLER

Sharon C. Miller May 21, 1936 - Sept. 17, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Sharon C. (Emery) Miller, 79, of South Bend, passed away Thursday at 1:16 pm in the home of her son Gregg in Granger after a long illness.

Sharon was born in Jackson, MI, on May 21, 1936, and adopted by the late Everett and Eleanor (Hosinski) Emery.

On November 12, 1955, in South Bend, she married Robert Louis Miller. He passed away on January 26, 1996.

When she retired she was an Office Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company when they were in South Bend.

She graduated from John Adams High School and was a longtime parishioner at St. Antony dePadua Catholic Church in South Bend where she served as a coordinator of funeral meals. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elks BPOE Lodge #235 where she helped with funeral memorial services. Most of all "she was a beautiful wife and mother."

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle (David) Lallow and their children: Eugene, Michael, Joshua and John Paul; a son, Mark L. Miller and his children: Lindsey and Stephanie, and her son, Michael; and her other son, Gregg E. Miller and his children: Sarah, Jordan and Brooke; along with her daughter, Emmalyn.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by a daughter, Victoria Rose Miller, and a brother, Dennis Emery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-7 pm at McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd., and on Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Fir & SR 23, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am.
