THOMAS REESE

MISHAWAKA - Thomas Reese, a longtime resident of Mishawaka, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN, on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, from heart failure. He was 68 years of age.

Tom is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann and John Swart of Sarasota, Florida, and the extended families living in the area including Shelly Singleton, Michael Kronewitter and Matt Kronewitter.

Tom served in the United States Navy. He was a student at John Adams High School, South Bend, and an ardent Notre Dame fan, especially following ND football and women's basketball over his lifetime.

He was the son of Joan and Nelson Reese and a 1938 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Tom was a kind and considerate person who worked for 25 years at AM General, and enjoyed his brief retirement years working out at the YMCA and following sports and many nature programs.

Viewing hours will be today, Sunday, September 22, 2013, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Rd., South Bend. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 23, 2013, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN.
