Agnes M. (Vaerewyck) Rosebrook

Granger - Agnes Marie Rosebrook, 81 years old, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was born on September 3, 1939 in Ghent, Belgium to the late Rene and Josee (D'Doublaire) Vaerewyck. Agnes was a graduate of Adams High School and worked as an office assistant for the Berrien County Sherrif's Department for 8 years before retiring in 1985. On December 24, 1957 she was united in marriage to James Rosebrook who preceded her in death June 2005.

Agnes is survived by her daughters; Christina (Brian) Templin of Leland, MI., Kathy (Anita Nash) Rosebrook of Granger, Michele (Tom) Reich of Eaton Rapids, MI., Monique (Mike) Weaver of Charlotte, MI., and Kim (Doug) Kinney of Niles, MI. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren; Taylor (Kyle) Viele, Alexandra (Justin) Potes, Zachary (Samantha) Templin, Isaac Templin, Samantha (Paul) McIntosh, Maxwell Gorton, Joseph Vargo, Sawyer Kinney, Molly Kinney, and eleven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her brother Michael (Wanda) Vaerewyck. Agnes was preceded in death by her brothers, Willifred and George Vaerewyck.

Agnes grew up in Belgium at the beginning of WWII, coming to North America in 1947 where she blossomed into a wonderful wife and mother, who spent her time caring for her five daughters. She guided them through the ups and downs of life and spent countless hours on the family farm helping the girls with showing their horses, which they did from spring to fall. Agnes primary passion in life was gardening. Agnes simply loved flowers, she had favorites of course, but any flower would do. All winter long she spent hours pouring through gardening magazines planning her garden, pining for spring, and as soon as the first signs of spring began to appear, she would be out with her spade and wheelbarrow.

Public visitation is from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Visitation for immediate family is from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. due to Covid concerns- as several family members have severe health issues. Visitation will be held at Palmer Funeral Home - Welsheimer North Chapel, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46635. Private family burial will immediately follow.
