HELEN (DESONIA) WEAVER

Helen Louise Weaver Sept. 13, 1926 - April 2, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Helen Louise Weaver, 87, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 13, 1926 in Herrin, Illinois. Her parents were Arthur and Hannah DeSonia.

Helen graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend in 1942, and married Larry Weaver in 1943.

She retired from AM General and Sears.

Helen is survived by her children, Larry (Angela) Weaver of Harlingen, Texas, Susan (Truman) Adams of South Bend and Mike Weaver of South Bend.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Judy (Robert) Hall of South Bend.

Helen is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, Robyn, Joe, Tim, Sarah, Chris, Megan, Korbett, Mary, Hannah, Sky, Tyler and Abby; as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

Helen was a devoted mother and grandmother. She left a legacy of love for her extensive family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services for Helen will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend with Pastor Janell Bloem officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 pm until the time of services on Sunday in the funeral home.
