SOUTH BEND - Nathaniel Richard Wiggins passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at home. Nate was born October 9, 1979, in South Bend, to Stephen and Barbara (Pankiewicz) Wiggins. Nathaniel was also preceded in death by his nephew, Cody Lynn; grandfathers, Harold Wiggins and Eugene Szymanski.

Survivors of Nate include his parents, Stephen and Barbara Wiggins; brothers, Jeremiah (Susan) Wiggins, Zachariah (Nicole) Wiggins , Vincent Wiggins and Ben Birch; sister, Melissa (Shannon) Lynn; nieces, Ashlyn Wiggins, Zoe Lynn, and nephew, Landen Wiggins (Nate was Landen's godfather); grandmother, Patricia Wiggins; and Busia, Seweryna Szymanski; many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Nate was a graduate of John Adams High School, and he was the manager at the Cafe Navarre. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend. Nate enjoyed disc golf, playing with his dog Ozzie, riding bikes with his niece and nephew, drinking wine and food, and he was a great Euchre player. He had worked at many restaurants in the area and was well-known for his smile and big heart. To know Nate was to love him; he leaves behind many friends and will be greatly missed.

Visitation for Nate will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2014, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2014, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
