DUANE D. ROWE

Dec. 28, 1932 - Oct. 6, 2017

CLEARWATER, FL - Duane D. Rowe of Clearwater, Florida. Born December 28, 1932 in south Bend, Indiana Son of Devon and Bessie Rowe. Surviving is his brother Don (Barbara) Rowe. Duane departed his life in exchange for eternal life with his Lord and Savior on October 6, 2017.

He was an amazing husband to his wife, Beverly, for 60 years. His legacy continues through his children: Barry (Ruth) Rowe, DeeAnn (Pat) Arata, Douglas Duane Rowe and Betsy Gerardot.

His Grandchildren: Raqchel (Matt) Maurer, Adam (Rittany) Drummond, Luke Gerardot, Gwenyth Gerardot, Elijah Rowe, Teddy Powers, Andrew Powers, and Monica Powers. His Great Grandchildren: Langston Maurer, Jonathon Robinson, and Tegan Drummond. He loved all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and courageously served in the Korean War.

He was also a faithful member of the Waynedale 739 Masonic Lodge.

Duane's passion in life was teaching and coaching and started his career in South Bend, at Central High School and John Adams High School. He continued his passion in Fort Wayne, IN where he taught and coached at North Side High School (business teacher and coach), Wayne High School (business teacher, Counselor, and Athletic Director), Elmhurst high School (Athletic Director), and South Side High School (Administrator and Counselor). He was recently inducted into the North Side High School Hall of Fame, as track and cross-country coach. Duane will be missed and is loved by all. Duane Rowe was a graduate of Manchester College and received his Masters Degree from Ball State University.


A Memorial will be held at the, Wocottville United Methodist Church, 107 W. County Line Rd. Wolcottville, IN 46795. The service will begin at one o'clock in the afternoon this Saturday November 4, 2017. In lieu of flowers, or donation, they may be directly delivered or brought to the church on the day of the service.
