Shawn Alexander Horvath, 46, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on May 15, 2023, in Roseland, Indiana. Born January 26, 1977, in South Bend, Indiana, Shawn was the caring and loving son of Anthony and Pam Horvath.

Shawn attended John Adams High School, where he developed his love for Notre Dame athletics. After completing high school, Shawn continued his education at Ivy Tech, graduating with a degree that would lead him to his career as a Heating and Air contractor.

In addition to his professional achievements, Shawn was an active member of the Local 1118 Painter and Drywall Union.

As a devoted sports fan, Shawn cheered on the Bears and Notre Dame throughout his life. He also had a passion for NASCAR, never missing a race and making several trips to racetracks across the country.

Shawn was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alex & Bertha Horvath and his brother, Robert Horvath.

He is survived by his Father, Anthony Horvath; Mother, Pam (Shenenberger) Horvath; Brother, Adam (Meredith) Horvath; Uncle Mike Horvath of Niles; Aunt & Uncle Judi & Ward Horvath Bedell-Deutscher of Niles; Aunt & Uncle Linda & Dwight Zimmerman; Aunt & Uncle Michele & Jeffery Horvath; his biological mother, Laura Covington; and many cousins.

Shawn had a smile you would never forget. Gone too soon.

Per the wishes of the family, no services will be held. Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
