In Memory

Paul James Connell - Class Of 1987

Paul James Connell, born on the 14th of November, 1969, in South Bend, Indiana, passed away at the age of 54 on January 5th, 2024, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Paul's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of generosity and adventure, touching the lives of all who knew him.

Paul was a cherished son of Marcia A. (Sam) Bourdon and the late Paul M. Connell. He grew up surrounded by love and laughter, alongside his sisters, Hope E. Hill of South Bend, Stacie M. Connell of Osceola, Aniya M. Ryall of South Bend, and his brothers, Robert J. Connell, Taysean Bourdon, and Devain J. Bourdon, all of South Bend.

A graduate of Adams High School, Paul carried with him not just the knowledge he gained but also the friendships and experiences that shaped his character. He was known for his big heart and unselfish nature. From a young age, Paul was the kind of person who never hesitated to help around the house and was always eager to play with the neighborhood kids.

Paul's interests were as vast as his kindness. He was an adventurous spirit, often described as a rolling stone, always on the move and eager to explore the world around him. Whether it was a new hobby or a spontaneous road trip, Paul embraced life with open arms and encouraged others to do the same.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and the family will be holding a private Celebration of Life at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
