Beverly Faye Gilmore was born on May 24, 1955, to her proud parents Johnnie and Estella (Taylor) Williams in South Bend, Indiana. Beverly transitioned to her heavenly home on February 29, 2024, at Memorial Hospital ICU surrounded by loving family members and friends.
Beverly was raised under the blessed leadership of Pastor Henry L. Giden Sr. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in South Bend, Indiana. She received her formal education at Perley Elementary School and John Adams High School. Beverly’s first job was at Whittaker’s Restaurant and Fish Market, a nice place owned by her aunt and uncle. Shortly after high school, Beverly began her career at AM General, where she was well known and genuinely loved by her colleagues, retiring after more than 30 years of excellent service. AM General is where she met and married the love of her life Charlie Gilmore on May 26, 1984. And to this union were born two beautiful daughters Britteny and Breanna (The Gilmore Girls). They both were the heartbeat of their parents. Beverly was a warm, loving, caring and a giving individual who never met a stranger. She loved hosting cookouts and backyard parties that included crab boils and fish fries.
Mrs. Beverly Gilmore is survived by her two daughters, Britteny C. Gilmore of South Bend, Indiana. Breanna S. Gilmore of Chicago, Illinois. A step-son Charles Q. Gilmore of Crestview, Florida. Sister, Prophetess Jackie Kennedy-Coleman of Mishawaka, Indiana. Brother Gregory L. Williams of Mishawaka, Indiana along with a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Estella Williams, her husband Charlie Gilmore, sister Johnnie Mae Williams, brother George E. Wilkins, nephew Ci’Von D. Green and in-laws Ollie and Evie Gilmore along with numerous family members whose memory we will forever cherish.
