Dwan Eric "Buster" Manns

Dwan Eric Manns, affectionately known as "Buster" left this earthly home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Indianapolis, IN. Eric was born December 18, 1958 to Calvin & Verlie Manns in South Bend, IN.

He was reared in the South Bend Community School Corportation attending Perley Elementary, Jefferson Middle and John Adams High School where he excelled in Football and Wrestling. He attended college at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI, where he played football and was drafted into the NFL. He later played in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Ottawa Rough Riders in Ottawa, Ontario.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Susan, two daughters Donita (Moqaddas) and Ericka. Nine grandchildren Bryana & Brian Hughes Jr., Blake Kimbrough, Kamau & Khamarah Mos Bey, Jasmine and Christopher Pitone, Jr., Bella and Michael Jefferson Jr., ten great-grandchildren, his mother, Pastor Verlie Manns, three sisters, Tammy Manns, Elizabeth (Reggie) White & Calvalyn Day. His life companion Kim Allen and special friend Norla. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends who will miss him greatly.

Eric was preceded in death by his father Calvin and his brother Danny.
