Rita Ann Talton

Feb. 22, 1958 – April 1, 2003

Ms.Rita Ann Talton, 45, beloved mother, sister and aunt, and child of the living God, passed from this life of natural causes on Tuesday, April 1, in San Antonio, Texas. On Feb.22, 1958, Rita was born in South Bend, Ind., to the late Sam and Ella Mae Talton.Ms.Talton attended Saint Stephen’s Catholic School and John Adams High School. She was employed at the University of Notre Dame before moving to San Antonio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Talton and Ella Mae Talton-Taylor.

Ms.Talton leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Aaron Jones of San Antonio and Keith Jennings of South Bend; her stepfather, Willie Taylor Jr.;six sisters, Diane (Stanley) Wilson of San Antonio, Mary Ann Talton and Eileen (Kevin) Black, both of Louisville, Ky., Evelyn (Robert) Garner of Dallas, Texas, and Karen S.Talton and Deidre Taylor of South Bend;four brothers, Billy (Tina) Talton, Sam Talton, Kevin Porter and Henry (Danielle) Taylor, all of South Bend; two grandchildren, Aaron Jones Jr.and Kiarra;and two special friends, Gay Smith and Edna Martin.

Rita will be remembered as a caregiver for her grandchildren, and for her big smile and loving spirit.

Funeral services for Rita Ann Talton will be held on Monday, April 7, at 1 p.m.in New Horizons Church.
