Jamaal Patrick Davis
Aug. 29, 1982 – Feb. 28, 2003 Jamaal Patrick Davis, 20, who resided on North Burns Street, South Bend, Ind passed away at 10:22 p.m.Friday, Feb.28, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Jamaal, a lifetime area resident, was born in South Bend on Aug. 29, 1982, to Jan (Marshall) McKinstry and Howard A.Davis. During his season of life, Jamaal attended John Adams High School and participated in the internship program at 2 Guys Plumbing. He enjoyed basketball, baseball and dogs.Jamaal was dedicated to taking care of his granny, Lucy Marshall.
Loved ones who survive his passing include a daughter, Jabrea Davis; a son, Kahala Wright-Davis, both of South Bend; his mother and stepfather, Jan (Johnny B.) McKinstry of South Bend;his father, Howard (Pam) Davis of Indianapolis, Ind.;three sisters, Letita Forbs and Michelle Duren of Indianapolis, and Star Johnson of Atlanta, Ga.;six brothers, Eric S.McKinstry and Jakaar McKinstry, both of South Bend, Mark Rogers of Arizona, and Ovando Boyd, Jourdan Davis and Maliki Harris, all of Indianapolis; maternal grandparents, William and Lucy Marshall;paternal grandparents, Howard B.and Amanda Davis;maternal step- grandfather, Samuel McKinstry, all of South Bend;and maternal step grandmother, Mary C.(Willie) Walker of Utah, Ala.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday, March 7, in First AME Zion Church, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alford’s Mortuary
