Thomas Connelly

GRANGER Thomas K. Connelly, 51, of Buttercup Lane, died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday in the Memorial Hospital Emergency Room of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Connelly was an Adams High School social studies teacher and had coached football and wrestling at Riley and also had coached football at Adams and the University of Notre Dame.
He was born Oct. 10, 1941, in South Bend. Surviving are his wife, Peggy DeRue; a daughter, Kristin Connelly at home; two stepsons, Gregory DeRue and Eric DeRue, both of South Bend; his mother, Esther Connelly of South Bend.
A sister, Linda G. Black died in 1981.
He received a bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and a master's degree from Ball State University, and was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday Welsheimer Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where other arrangements are being made.
