Charles Frederick Vogel

May 8, 1972 ~ April 23, 2025

Charles Frederick Vogel, aged 52, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, knowingly filled with the love of his family. Born on May 8, 1972, in the heart of spring, Charles was a wild child and as vibrant as flowers of the spring season. He was a beloved partner, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched.

Charles's journey began as the cherished son of the late Charles Raymond Vogel and Emily Joyce Vogel. His life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and community that were instilled in him from a young age. Alongside his significant other, Kim "Hepburn" Glassburn, Charles created a life rich in love and laughter. He was a guiding light to his children, Charles Vogel, Joshua Hepburn, Jamie Vogel, Kyle Ryan and Alexandria Hepburn and a playful spirit to his grandchildren, Lilly Vogel and Aiden Ryan. His sister, Marcy Vogel, and brothers, John (Rhonda) Feathers, Gregory Paul Feathers, Curtis Feathers, will remember him as a steadfast presence and a source of unwavering support. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Feathers.

For many years, Charles dedicated himself to his work in Shipping & Receiving in the manufacturing industry. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and diligence, always ready to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement. His work ethic was matched only by his passion for his interests outside of the workplace.

A true sports enthusiast, Charles's love for baseball was more than just a pastime. He poured his heart into coaching little league teams in the East End and Southwest. His commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a sense of team spirit made a lasting impact on countless youths.

Music filled Charles's soul, and he was a proud Dead Head, a fan of the legendary band the Grateful Dead. His love for their music was a reflection of his free spirit and his belief in the power of community and shared experiences.

He was part of River Park and affectionately known as a "River Park River Rat.”

Charles's legacy is one of joy, resilience, devotion to growth, his family and dearest friends. The countless moments of laughter, wisdom from life experiences and his warm presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to Charles Frederick Vogel, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed, and a spirit that will continue to inspire us all for generations to come. He will be remembered for his fierce sense of loyalty and unwavering support. What a long, strange trip it’s been.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be given to Palmer Funeral Homes for funeral expenses. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
