Frank E. Fisher

WAKARUSA - Frank E. Fisher, 72, of 308 S. Washington Street. formerly of North Liberty, Ind., at 4:10 on Monday, March 15, Miller's Manor, where he had a patient since February 22nd.

Mr. Fisher, the son of Dr. Lawrence F. and Irma (Mallory) Fisher, was born on Sept. 26, 1926, in South Bend, Ind., and married Beverly Abbott on Jan. 19, 1949, in Wakarusa, Ind. His wife survives with three sons, Steven F. of South Bend, Richard S. of Elkhart, Ind., and James L. of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; a daughter, Jan B. Fisher of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; and by five grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, L.F. Fisher, Jr., and Gerald M. Fisher.

Mr. Fisher operated grain farms in St. Joseph and LaPorte counties for 23 years, was in the investment property business for 16 years, and was the general manager of Thomas Village Apartments in Elkhart.

He was a veteran of World War Il, discharged in 1946, serving in the Pacific Theater. He was also a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge #599.

He attended John Adams High School and Central High School, both of South Bend, and graduated in 1943. Mr. Fisher attended Indiana University.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place, with the Rieth-RohrerEhret-Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa, in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Olive (West) Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen B. Goudy of First Church of God, Goshen, Ind., will officiate the memorial service, which will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to Elkhart Community Hospice, Inc., or to United Cancer Services of Elkhart County
