Donna J. (Hutchison) Burket
Donna Burket, age 86, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully Monday evening at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center with her son David by her side. Donna was born January 9, 1937 in South Bend to the late Paul and Dorothy (Davidson) Hutchison and lived in this area most of her life. On February 26, 1955 in South Bend, she married Max Franklin Burket, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, David (Kimberley Hazlett) Burket of South Bend, Mark Burket of Phoenix, AZ, seven grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her brother, Paul (Laura) Hutchison.
Donna was preceded in death by her son, John Burket.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 24, at Palmer Funeral Home – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Rev. Thomas Short will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the services from 1:00 – 3:00 at the funeral home.
Donna loved her family and her church. As a younger woman, she was a member of Harris Prairie Church of Christ, Granger. When in Florida, she was a member of Havendale Christian Church and most recently, was a member of Elkhart East Christian Church.
