MISHAWAKA - Rosemary Talbot-Majeski, 77, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully at 4:35 a.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2008, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

Mrs. Majeski was born on August 26, 1930, in South Bend, to the late John Harold and Edith May (Smith) Talbot. She had remained a lifelong resident.

On October 15, 1955, in South Bend, she married Peter V. Majeski, who survives. Along with her husband of 52 years, Peter, survivors include one daughter, Diane Majeski-Mize of South Bend; two sons, Peter V. and his wife, Angela Majeski of Camby, IN, and Bruce D. Majeski of South Bend; five grandchildren, Andrew, Michelle, Renee and Matthew Majeski, and Jaden Mize; and one great-granddaughter, Mia.

Mrs. Majeski was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Dennis W. Talbot.

Rosemary graduated from John Adams High School and was accepted by United Airlines School in Chicago to become a flight attendant. After graduating, Rosemary traveled the world before attending Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. While studying at I.U., Rosemary was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority and earned her teaching degree. Rosemary returned to South Bend and began teaching at Harrison School. She put her teaching on hold to raise her family. Rosemary was also an accomplished business woman owning several pieces of real estate in South Bend.

Rosemary lived life in the most compassionate way, always giving to her family and friends. She also had a love for animals. She will always be remembered as a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

A memorial Mass will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 23, in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Rev. Derrick Sneyd will officiate. There will be no visitation.

Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend, is assisting with funeral arrangements.

The Majeski family would like to thank the entire staff and doctors of Our Lady of Peace Hospital for all of their kindness and support.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Rosemary Majeski may be made to Our Lady of Peace Hospital or to The Alzheimer's Association.
