I am reminded again of our human frailty and how important are our family, friends and relationships.  Sam was a great guy, especially from what I've heard, a great husband, dad, grandad, brother, son, best friend, and servant leader.  How we should all strieve to do the same.  As I have said elswhere: I wish I had known him better.  I am sad that he has left us at such a young age, and hope and pray that all who knew him share all of the stories and memories of a great man.  God bless you all...and if Jesus be the Savior I believe in, we'll see you, Sam, on the other side!

Same always smiled.  That's because he loved everyone.

He went into education as a career becaused he liked to help others.

He was on the only home room team at John Adams to win the "Little 500" three years in a row.  He was a true TEAM PLAYER.

You never heard anything bad about Sam.

Whether it was athletics, relationships, academics, or concern for others, Sam was an example for all of us that matriculated in the AHS Clas of 1961.  May his family and friends remember the good times together and be supported by each other. Peace to him.

Hal
